Greater Sexual Satisfaction for Men with Spinal Cord Injury!!

Until recently, the only successful method for most men with spinal cord injuries is to ejaculate, usually involved hospitalized treatment. FertiCare personal offers a better, FDA approved approach allowing men to achieve ejaculation in the privacy of their own home, when they choose to.FertiCare personal was developed by Multicept, in co-operation with specialists at Rigshospitalet (the University Hospital of Copenhagen, Denmark), in order to remove human sexuality from the hospital’s control and place it with the individual, where it belongs. This hand-held vibrator works by using a simple technique called Transcutaneous Mechanical Nerve Stimulation (TMNS). It is easy, and above all safe to use (FDA registered).

Semen Retrieval by Penile Vibratory Stimulation

The inability to ejaculate is the primary cause of infertility in spinal cord injured (SCI) men. To induce ejaculation by penile vibratory stimulation (PVS) requires an intact ejaculatory reflex arch to provide transmission of afferent stimuli from penis to sacral, lumbar and lower thoracic spinal cord segments to the ejaculatory organs. The above mentioned spinal cord segments will, even when isolated from the brain, responds to PVS. In addition to ejaculatory dysfunction, the usually poor semen quality is another obstacle for SCI men who want to father children. However, PVS combined with today’s reproductive techniques provide improved and promising reproduction prospects to SCI men and their partners.Certain vibration parameters have been proven crucial to induce ejaculation by PVS in SCI men. With the adequate vibration power PVS has been proven successful in more than 85% of SCI men with lesions above the T10 spinal cord level. Designed according to specifications by leading specialists, FertiCare Personal provides the output power and accuracy required.

A Non-Invasive Approach to Semen Retrieval

PVS is non-invasive as opposed to electroejaculation, which may also require general anesthesia. Recent studies show that penile vibratory stimulation (PVS) greatly increases the chances of helping SCI men with ejaculatory dysfunction. In addition, the method is also appropriate for use in non-paralyzed men suffering from un-ejaculation. Ferticare is FDA Approved Designed for spinally injured men; the Ferticare personal is FDA approved for sexual dysfunction and as a Kegel exercise device (genital vibrator) Adjustable Speed An onboard adjustable frequency knob allows you to select your own individual speed for your own individual needs. Frequency ranges from 70 to 110Hz – far outperforming any ordinary vibrator! Adjustable Vibration Intensity The easy to use adjustable amplitude control allows you to intensify Ferticare’s vibrationa far beyond any conventional vibrator available today. While most vibrators give you up to 0.25mm of amplitude, Feticare allows you to adjust from 0.5mm to 3.5mm of stimulating intensity! Prior to Application of Penile Vibratory Stimulation Autonomic dysreflexia is a rapid increase in the blood pressure due to excessive activation of the autonomic nervous system in men with lesions above the T9 spinal cord level and may be caused by various factors including PVS. Autonomic dysreflexia is easily prevented in most cases by nifedipine (a calcium channel blocker) 10-20 mg., administered sublingually 10-15 minutes before vibration is initiated.
